Sean Eulenberg

I’m a software engineer based in Berlin, working on cybersecurity and cloud architecture. Before moving into software, I studied mechanical and industrial engineering at RWTH Aachen University and Tsinghua University.

At university, I was drawn to computer science by its most fascinating principle: abstraction. I now view fields ranging from the natural sciences to economics and human cognition through the lens of abstraction, and find great joy in thinking in models and interfaces. In my eyes, humanity’s ability to orchestrate inconceivably complex systems through the rigorous application of abstraction is one of our greatest achievements.

I currently serve as an advisory board member at WAGO, where I focus on automation and interconnection technology. As a member of the shareholder family, I strongly identify with WAGO’s values, people, and products. My interest lies particularly in customer-centric software design (UX) and the interplay between physical and digital products.

In this personal blog, I write to explore topics that catch my interest and to bring order to my thoughts. I value curiosity over perfection, and view open exchange as the necessary engine for intellectual growth.
